As some of you may already know, baby number 3 is on the way! We are so thrilled to be welcoming a little boy or girl in October. The kicker is we aren’t going to find out the gender until birth!

We have a 12 year old son and a 16 month old daughter currently. We knew we wanted our youngest two to be close in age and decided to start trying after the New Year!
Signs I Knew I Was Pregnant Before I Tested
Once you and your partner decide to start trying for a baby it is such an exciting but nerve wracking time. From all of the women I have spoken to about this subject, I know I’m not alone when I say I can start obsessing. Any little sign or symptom and I automatically say,”is it because I could be pregnant?!” I could sneeze twice and my eye twitch and I’m googling if it’s a pregnancy symptom.
This time around was completely different. I didn’t have time to obsess because I was so busy chasing a toddler around. It was our first month trying and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it happened so fast. Some women say they just knew they were pregnant before they tested and that’s how I was this time around. I got a positive test so early too, at around three weeks. For the days leading up to me testing, I was already having symptoms like cramping & fatigue. In the back of my mind I was saying,”it’s because I’m pregnant.” I was just waiting until I knew it would show up on a pregnancy test.
I had a cheap dollar store pregnancy test that was left over from Skyer’s pregnancy and randomly one afternoon I had the urge to take the test. Sure enough I got a faint line! I had to run to Target to get a First Response Early Result. These are by far my favorite tests and even the faintest line can be detected unlike those blue dye tests that can play tricks on your mind. This was on January 25th.

How I Told My Husband
My son has been the first to know I was pregnant with Skyler and again this time. Our plan was to have my son sit on the couch with Skyler and ask Ben, my husband, to come sit with them and cuddle. They looked so cute so I said,”let me take a picture”, but instead started recording a video. Instead of saying ,”say cheese,” I said,”say mommy’s pregnant!” The look of shock on my husband face was hilarious and what made it even more funny was he responded,”well that was fast!” Yes, kudos to you Ben.
What Is My Due Date?
My due date is October 11th. I absolutely love having fall babies. This will be my third and I’m happy we got pregnant so fast because I can’t wait go through this journey again during my favorite time of the year. I will have a tiny little baby all cuddled up on me for the following months as the weather starts to get chilly. Once they are ready to start moving around and crawling the weather is back to being nice enough to enjoy outside.
Why We Aren’t Finding Out The Gender
We already have a boy and a girl so either way we will be happy with the gender. We have all of our gender neutral baby items like the bassinet, car seat, crib, etc. saved from our last pregnancy. My style is more minimalistic as it is so I tend to go with neutral colors and aesthetically looking baby items so I don’t feel the need to know the gender to purchase things for the baby.
