This is by far the best, non-toxic, edible, homemade playdough recipe. It is soft and pliable for young kids and easy to clean up. It’s fast to make and calls for minimal ingredients. This playdough would be great for party favors, Christmas, and birthday presents. You could do it as an activity for a playdate or some hands on fun on the weekend for your kids.

I must admit, I enjoyed playing with this homemade playdough as much as my 16 month old daughter did. It is so soft and buttery and the thing I love about it the most, is it doesn’t get stuck under your nails! It has a nice smell from the essential oils unlike the store bought kind that I despise the smell of.
This non-toxic recipe is going to be the only one I give my daughter to play with because she is notorious for trying to eating the store bought playdough.
As for cleaning up after your little one is done playing, you can use hot water with soap. If little bits get anywhere, once they dry up, they become flaky and are really easy to get off of furniture and the floor. That is another thing I love about this homemade playdough vs. the store bought kind that can be a pain to clean up.
This activity is going to be one that we make often and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!
