Wash your hands with this DIY foaming hand soap recipe that is non-toxic and only has three ingredients, castile soap, essential oils, & water!

Using non-toxic products on your body and in your home is more important than you realize. If you are using harsh cleaning chemicals in your home, it absorbs through your skin and goes right into your bloodstream. Those toxic chemicals will wreak havoc on your body. Creating your own skin care products ensures you are only using non-toxic ingredients.

Benefits Of Castile Soap
I absolutely love castile soap because it is biodegradable, concentrated, versatile, and great for sensitive skin. We use it as our body wash, hand soap, and all purpose cleaning. Dr. Bonner’s is a great brand because it is made from organic ingredients.
Dangers Of Antibacterial Soaps
The ingredients in antibacterial soaps can seep into your skin and promote bacterial resistance in your body.
We live in a world today where all germs are thought to be bad. Using harsh cleaning products when washing our hands and dishes isn’t necessary. You could be causing more harm than good in your body without even realizing it. The human body is naturally made up of bacteria that plays a vital role in our health.

Essentials Oils Vs. Fragrances
Most hand soaps contain fragrances, which are classified as allergens, hormone disruptors, asthma triggers, carcinogens, and neurotoxins. They absorb right into your skin, go into your blood, and spreads through your entire body. They are found in urine and breast milk as well. There are literally no benefits to fragrances.
Young Living is the company I trust to get quality essential oils from. They are the only essential oil company that has their own farms and distilleries. They don’t go through a third party which is amazing and gives me peace of mind knowing the quality is there. Essential oils have an array of benefits with no negative impacts on your body.
I’m going to be going into more detail about the benefits of essential oils in my next blog post so keep your eye out! If you want to learn more about getting started with Young Living Essentials Oils, you can reach out to me through email or my Instagram!

DIY Foaming Hand Soap Ingredients

Materials You Will Need
I loved the look of these mason jar foaming soap dispensers and they came in a pack of two which is exactly what I needed for my home. They are also easy to clean out when you needed to.

How To Make DIY Foaming Hand Soap
Fill up your hand soap dispenser 1/4 of the way with Dr. Bronner’s castile soap. Add 10-15 drops of Young Living lemon essential oils, or one of your choosing, & fill up the rest of the dispenser with water. Give it a good swirl to combine the ingredients and you’re good to go! Enjoy!
