How Do Non-toxic Toilet Cleaning Bombs Work?
Baking Soda
Baking soda is an all natural and powerful deodorizer that will absorb any odors it comes in contact with and they will flush right down the toilet along with it. If you use your toilet brush while the toilet bomb is still actively fizzing, the baking soda can be abrasive and get off any gunk that’s in there.
Citric Acid
Citric acid kills bacteria, fungi, and mildew which is everything a toilet needs to get clean. It’s a great non-toxic substitute that will disinfect and sanitize your toilet, while also removing hard water stains, lime, rust, and calcium deposits. Citric acid scored as an A+ on ewg.org. It also biodegrades in the environment so you don’t have to worry about flushing it down your toilet.
Lemon Essential Oil
Lemon essential oil is a natural disinfectant and has been proven to kill harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus and E.Coli. It’s a great deodorizer and a safe alternative for making your toilet smell nice without using synthetic fragrance that is a carcinogen.
